The Mechanical Project Manager position is located in Kitchener, Ontario and reports directly to the Mechanical Manager. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage all aspects of the mechanical scope of construction projects from award through to closeout and end of warranty;
  • Oversee the planning, preparation, and maintenance of all aspects of the project including developing project schedules, submittal documents, and work plan updates;
  • Maintain project issues logs and databases, estimate activity duration and risks;
  • Manage project costs aligned to project schedules and plans; compile reports on budget forecasts;
  • Communicate with project owners, architects and engineers, general contractors, subcontractors and tradespersons;
  • Monitor and control project management processes and project deliverables;
  • Track and monitor action items and issues;
  • Submit formal requests for information as required for changes to systems and/or processes
  • Respond to contemplated change notices, providing pricing as applicable;
  • Collaborate with the estimating department with estimating, closing and delivery of estimates;
  • Act with the best interest of Roberts Onsite at all times;
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Skills:

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in estimating / project management;
  • Formal education in project management principles or a combination of technical training and/or related experience;
  • Strong commitment to safety;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Self-motivated problem solver who is able to work within deadlines;
  • Ability to work within a team and promote mutual respect for co-workers.



  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Jonas Management System for Construction (training to be provided if required)
  • Knowledge of Trimble Accubid (Enterprise and ChangeOrder) an asset
  • Experience with SiteDocs Safety Management Software an asset



  • 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with an hour lunch break)
